TForce Freight API Update

Overview

TForce Freight (formerly UPS Freight) has introduced their own rating API and has announced they’ll be sunsetting their old UPS-operated API. ShipperHQ has released an updated integration with TForce Freight using their new API.

ShipperHQ customers who installed TForce Freight in ShipperHQ prior to June 3rd, 2024 will need to reauthorize their TForce Freight connection within ShipperHQ. Doing so will ensure you continue to receive your TForce Freight account rates after the old API has been disabled.

Third Party Logistics Providers

If you connect to TForce Freight via a third party logistics (3PL) provider, no action is required within ShipperHQ. If you have questions about TForce Freight via a 3PL, please contact your 3PL directly.

Requirements

  • A TForce Freight account number
  • A TForceFreight.com account tied to your TForce Freight account number

Updating Existing TForce Freight Connection

Use the following steps to update each of your TForce Freight carriers in ShipperHQ to connect to the new TForce Freight API.

New TForce Freight Carrier

If you do not currently have a TForce Freight carrier set up in ShipperHQ or if you’re adding a new TForce Freight carrier to your ShipperHQ account, follow the steps to Install TForce Freight instead of the update steps below.

  1. Login to your ShipperHQ account and click Carriers in the left navigation menu
  2. Edit your TForce Freight carrier(s) and then click the View or Update Credentials link at the top of the Basic tab then click Update Credentials on the popup modal to continue
  3. When the pop-up window appears, enter your TForceFreight.com Username and Password then click Login
You will need to ensure your browser is set to allow popups from ShipperHQ.com in order for this login window to show.
  4. On the next page, you do not need to enter a password. Just click Get Started to continue
  5. Enter your TForceFreight.com Password once more in the Microsoft authentication window then click Sign In
  6. You’ll be presented with two pages regarding Permissions and Terms & Conditions. Review each page and click Next
  7. Once you have accepted the terms of use, you should be shown a message that you’ve successfully authenticated ShipperHQ. Close the popup window to return to ShipperHQ
  8. Your TForce Freight account is now validated with the new TForce Freight API and your LTL rates will return as they had with the old API

Follow-up Steps

We do recommend reviewing your TForce carrier settings. While these details will remain unchanged, this is a good opportunity to make sure the selected TForce shipping methods, package, fees, and advanced carrier settings are inline with your current quoting requirements.

If you have any questions or encounter any issues with validating your TForce account through the new API service, please contact us for assistance.
