Sutton Transport LTL Freight

Overview

This document outlines the process to set up Sutton Transport as an LTL carrier in ShipperHQ to obtain live rates associated with your Sutton Transport account.

Requirements

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following details from your Sutton Transport account:

  • Username
  • Password
  • Customer ID
Register for API access with Sutton Transport if you have not done so already Sutton Transport Signup
  • LTL Freight Feature – Adding this carrier requires the LTL Freight Feature to be enabled either before or during the process described below.

Steps to Add This Carrier

Now that you have your credentials ready use the steps below to set up Sutton Transport in ShipperHQ.

  1. Log into your ShipperHQ account.
  2. Navigate to the Manage Shipping > Carriers dashboard.
  3. Click the + New to add a new carrier.
  4. Click the Live Rate Carrier option.
  5. Use the Search Carriers search bar to type in Sutton or scroll down to find Sutton Transport from the list of available carriers.
  6. Select Sutton Transport.
Adding Sutton Transport requires the LTL Freight advanced feature to be enabled in your account. You will be prompted with the following steps if you do not have this feature enabled during installation:

  1. Click the toggle button to enable the LTL Freight feature.
  2. Click the Continue button.
  3. Type in the name of the carrier you want your customers to see. Example: Sutton Transport.
  4. Click the Continue button.

Steps to Validate This Carrier

  1. Click the Enter Credentials button.
  2. Note, you can select the Skip & Enter Later option, but Sutton Transport live rates are not enabled until these credentials are entered. You are also reminded to add your credentials if you choose to skip the validation process. This validation is necessary for ShipperHQ to access your Sutton Transport account and rates.
  3. Click the Enter Credentials button once again.
  4. Input your Sutton Transport Username, Password, & Customer ID into the fields provided.
  5. Select the Pickup Terms for your account
  6. Click the Validate button.
  7. If validation is successful, click the toggle button to enable the Sutton Transport carrier.
  8. Click the Configure This Carrier button if the validation process was successful.
  9. Your Sutton Transport carrier is now enabled and ready for configuration.
