Overview
Shipping rules apply an action when certain conditions are present in a customer’s cart. There are six types of conditions that can be used to trigger and action: Price, Weight, Quantity, Shipping Zones, Shipping Groups, and Customer Groups.
Price, Weight and Quantity
Conditions can be created individually for Price, Weight and Quantity thresholds. Once these conditions have been defined, they are applied to the rule as a Filter. If you have existing filters, you can also apply them at any time.
When you combine different Price, Weight, and Quantity conditions on a rule, they act as AND conditions, meaning they must each be true for the condition to be met, or the rule will not trigger if any condition aren’t met, and even when others are.
When you combine the conditions of the same type on a rule, these filters act as OR conditions, meaning only one of them will need to be met for the condition to be considered met.
When no filters are applied to a rule, then the rule will trigger based upon any Price, Weight and Quantity criteria.
Please Note: If you have two filters of the same type on then the condition will act as an OR and will act if either of the filters are met. E.g two weight filters on the same rule, rule will trigger if either of them matches.
Shipping Zones
Any selected Shipping Zones are in the cart: When a zone is selected on that field the rule will only trigger if there is a match from that zone.
If you would like to Exclude a location that you want to prevent shipping to, you will need to create a Shipping Zone that leaves out that location, and apply it to your rule.
Shipping Groups
All selected Shipping Groups are in the cart: This field indicates that ALL selected shipping groups must be present in the cart in order for the rule to trigger.
Any selected Shipping Groups are in the cart: This field indicate that IF any of the selected shipping groups is present in the cart then rule will trigger.
Shipping Groups that prevent rule from applying: This field indicates that IF any of the selected shipping groups is present in the cart, regardless of whether the rest of the conditions match, then the rule will NOT trigger.
Please Note: when setting a free shipping rule that is configured to override the rate to certain shipping groups to free then ensure not to select anything in Shipping Groups DO not Include as the the rule is already configured to only override certain shipping groups to $0.
Any selected Customer Groups are in the cart: If any customer groups that match a customer group configured on the platform are present in the cart then rule will trigger.
