How to manage Master and Child website accounts

Overview

Master and Child accounts are a great solution for businesses who have multiple websites with different origins, but want all of the same shipping rules, methods, packing dimensions, etc. This feature allows you to manage all of your functionality in one account, but be able to control individual website origins.

Requirements

Master and Child accounts are available on Enterprise ShipperHQ plans. This feature can only be enabled by a ShipperHQ team member. Email support@shipperhq.com and let us know which account you’d like to become the ‘master’.

Managing Master/Child Accounts

Log into your Master account, hover over My Account (top right), and select My Profile. Under the Preferences panel you’ll be able to see all child accounts associated wtih this master account.

Log into one of your child accounts, navigate to the Website tab in the lefthand navigation and click on your website to edit. The Basic panel will allow you to select and manage the default Origin for this particular site.

If you need to map one of your child accounts to the parent account, navigate to My Account > My Profile, under the Preferences section enter in the email address associated with the master account in Master Account Email Address. Click Save, and most functionality will be removed for this account.

Each child account reflects the configuration of the master or parent account setup as you enter in the email for the master account.
