How to Manage Master and Child Website Accounts
Centralize multi-site shipping settings while managing distinct website origins
Overview
Master and Child accounts are designed for businesses that manage multiple websites with different shipping origins but want consistent shipping logic across all sites. This feature lets you configure and maintain shipping rules, methods, and packing settings from one Master Account, while each Child Account maintains its own origin and site-specific details.
Requirements
Master and Child accounts are available on Enterprise ShipperHQ plans.
This feature can only be enabled by the ShipperHQ team. To request setup, contact support@shipperhq.com and specify which account should serve as the Master Account.
Managing Master and Child Accounts
Accessing and Viewing Linked Accounts:
- Log into your Master Account.
- Hover over My Account (top right) and select My Profile.
- Under the Preferences panel, you’ll see all Child Accounts linked to this master.
Managing a Child Account:
- Log into the Child Account.
- In the left-hand navigation, select Websites.
- Click on your website to open its settings.
- In the Basic panel, select and manage the default Origin for that site.
- Click Save.
Mapping a Child Account to a Master Account:
- Go to My Account → My Profile.
- Under Preferences, enter the email address associated with the Master Account in Master Account Email Address.
- Click Update.
Once saved, this account becomes a Child Account. Most configuration settings will be controlled by the Master Account, and the child will automatically inherit its shipping logic and rules.
