February 2026: USPS WebTools API Migration to New API

Confirm that your USPS rates continue to calculate correctly following the completed API update

Introduction

USPS Announced that WEBTools API platform would be retired on January 25th 2026. ShipperHQ has completed the migration to USPS's updated API. This migration enables ShipperHQ to continue providing accurate USPS rates as USPS modernizes their systems.

Your USPS carrier configuration remains unchanged, and you should continue to see the same USPS rates returning at checkout as before the migration. No adjustments to your carrier settings, credentials, or shipping rules are required.

All ShipperHQ merchants using USPS rates are using the updated API. This migration affects all USPS services, including domestic and international shipping methods.

What Changed

ShipperHQ updated the integration with USPS to use their new API infrastructure. This technical change happened on the ShipperHQ side and does not affect your USPS account, credentials, or carrier configuration.

The migration ensures continued compatibility with USPS systems and maintains the same rate calculation accuracy you've been receiving.

What You Need to Know

No action is required. Your USPS carrier will continue to function as configured.

Rate consistency: USPS rates should remain consistent with what you were seeing before the migration. The new API uses the same rate calculation methods as the previous version.

All services supported: The migration supports all USPS services that were available before the update, including:

  • Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express
  • First Class Package Service
  • Ground Advantage
  • International services
  • Flat Rate options
  • All rate types (Retail, Online, Commercial Base, Commercial Plus)
