How to Connect ShipperHQ to Shopware

Requirements

  • A Shopware install at version 6.5.x or higher
  • PHP 8.1 or higher
  • An active ShipperHQ account on Advanced or Enterprise plan

Installation

Installing the ShipperHQ Shopware App follows standard Shopware processes for new app installation.

  1. Contact ShipperHQ to request access to the ShipperHQ Shopware App
  2. Unzip the provided archive and rename the extracted folder to SHQRateProvider
  3. Upload the folder to custom/plugins/SHQRateProvider/ in your Shopware root directory
  4. cd into the plugin directory and run composer install
  5. Ensure the plugin shows up in the Shopware Plugin list by running bin/console plugin:refresh
  6. If the plugin shows up, install it by running bin/console plugin:install -- activate SHQRateProvider
  7. Clear the cache using bin/console cache:clear

Configuration

  1. Retrieve your API Key and Authentication Code from the ShipperHQ dashboard by editing your Website
  2. In Shopware, go to Extensions > My Extensions
  3. Find and click on ShipperHQ Shipping Rates
  4. Enter your API Key and Authentication Code retrieved from ShipperHQ and save the settings
  5. Click Reload Shipping Methods to retrieve Shipping Methods from ShipperHQ
  6. Clear the Shopware cache again by running bin/console cache:clear

Troubleshooting

All Shipping Methods Shown at Checkout (Including Unavailable Ones)

Issue: At checkout, every shipping method appears, even those that should not be available. When selecting an unavailable method, you may see an error such as:

USPS Priority Mail is blocked for your current shopping cart

Solution:

  1. Go to the ShipperHQ app settings in Shopware
  2. Click the Reload Shipping Methods button
  3. Clear the Shopware cache by running bin/console cache:clear

This will refresh the list of available shipping methods and resolve the error.
