Using Multiple Websites with WooCommerce and ShipperHQ
Learning how to use Multiple Websites on WooCommerce with ShipperHQ
Table of Contents
Overview
When using ShipperHQ with WooCommerce, it’s important to understand how Websites and Scopes are managed within your plan. This article outlines how multiple sites work, what limitations apply, and what options you have for live and test environments.
Plan Allowances
On the Standard Plan and above, ShipperHQ supports:
-
1 Live Site
-
1 Test Site
This allows you to maintain a development environment for testing changes before pushing them live.
WooCommerce Scope Limitation
WooCommerce integrations are limited to a single Scope, meaning:
-
Each WooCommerce account can only connect to one active configuration at a time.
-
All rules, carriers, and settings within that account share the same scope.
Adding a Second Website
You can add a second website under your plan; however:
-
The second website is intended for testing or development purposes.
-
If the second website does not require a unique configuration, you can use the Test Site connection for it.
If your second website needs its own unique ShipperHQ configuration, you’ll need to:
-
Create a separate WooCommerce account, and
-
Set up a new ShipperHQ account to manage that configuration independently.
