Sendle Validation Error: "Invalid Origin. Sendle does not ship from XX."

Overview

When connecting your Sendle account to ShipperHQ, you may see the following error during validation:

Invalid origin. Sendle does not ship from XX. Please ensure you have accurate account information.

This error indicates that Sendle is rejecting the information being sent from ShipperHQ’s system, usually due to a mismatch in origin or credential configuration.

Why This Happens

Your Sendle account credentials are passed securely to Sendle through their API. Even if the same credentials work when logging directly into the Sendle portal, Sendle may reject them when used through ShipperHQ’s API connection if:

  • The origin address in your Sendle account does not match your ShipperHQ settings.

  • The account region is not supported for the origin entered (for example, Sendle does not ship from Canada).

  • The API access for your account is not enabled or correctly configured.

How to Resolve the Error

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Contact Sendle Support

    • Reach out to Sendle and ask them to review the credentials you’re submitting through ShipperHQ.

    • Confirm that your Sendle account can rate and ship using the API, not just through the Sendle portal.

    • Ask them to verify that the origin address and account details you’re using in ShipperHQ match what’s in their system.

  2. Update and Revalidate in ShipperHQ

    • Once Sendle confirms your credentials are valid, re-enter them in ShipperHQ.

    • Try validating the carrier connection again.

  3. If the Error Persists

    • If you continue to see the same or a new error, contact support@shippehq.com.

    • Provide your credentials so we can test the connection on your behalf.

Summary

This error usually occurs because Sendle’s system is rejecting the origin or account information being sent via API. Confirming your account’s API permissions and address details with Sendle will typically resolve the issue.
