How to Remove Address Validation Associations to Delete a Disabled Carrier
Summary:
If a carrier is associated with Address Validation, it must be removed from those settings before the carrier can be deleted—even if the feature is currently disabled.
Problem
You’re unable to delete a carrier (e.g., UPS) because it’s still associated with Address Validation. However, since the carrier is disabled, it doesn’t appear in the Address Validation settings.
Solution
Follow these steps to remove the association:
-
Re-enable the carrier (e.g., UPS).
-
Enable the Address Validation feature in your ShipperHQ settings.
-
Remove the carrier from the Address Validation settings.
-
Disable the Address Validation feature (if you no longer need it).
-
Disable and delete the carrier.
Why This Works
Disabling a carrier hides it from the Address Validation settings, but its associations still exist. Re-enabling both the carrier and the feature allows you to access and remove those hidden links.
