Free Shipping Still Showing on WooCommerce After Disabling ShipperHQ Rules and Free Shipping Carriers

Overview

If you have disabled Free Shipping options in ShipperHQ Shipping Rules but still see Free Shipping appearing at checkout on your WooCommerce site, the Free Shipping method is not being returned by ShipperHQ.

In this scenario, the Free Shipping option is coming directly from WooCommerce.

Why This Happens

ShipperHQ does not add or return Free Shipping unless a Free Shipping Carrier or Free Shipping Rule is explicitly configured within ShipperHQ.

If no Free Shipping Carrier or Rules are enabled in ShipperHQ, but Free Shipping is still visible at checkout, it means WooCommerce itself is returning the shipping method.

This typically occurs when a Free Shipping method is configured inside a WooCommerce Shipping Zone.

Where to Check in WooCommerce

Review your WooCommerce Shipping Zones to identify where Free Shipping is enabled.

Steps to review:

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping

  2. Open Shipping Zones

  3. Review each zone for an enabled Free Shipping method

  4. Check the conditions tied to that method, such as minimum order value or coupon requirements

WooCommerce will return this method independently of ShipperHQ unless it is removed or disabled.

Summary

If Free Shipping continues to appear after disabling ShipperHQ Shipping Rules, it is being returned by WooCommerce Shipping Zones. Review and update your WooCommerce Shipping Zone settings to fully remove the Free Shipping method.
