Adding a Signature Required Surcharge for USPS & FedEx

USPS and FedEx do not offer a built‑in Signature Required setting within the platform. To add this fee, you will need to create a Surcharge Rule that applies a flat amount whenever the shipment uses USPS or FedEx.

How to Add a Signature Required Surcharge

Follow these steps to create a surcharge rule:

  1. Click on "Shipping Rules"

  2. Click "+New" to add a new Shipping Rule

  3. Select Surcharge Rates then decide if you'd like to add a flat fee or increase the rate by a percentage

  4. Select the Carrier Methods 

  5. Determine what Conditions, if any, should the rule listen for before triggering 

  6. Save the rule

Notes

  • This rule will automatically add the surcharge whenever the selected carrier is used.

  • You can create separate rules for USPS and FedEx if the fees differ.

  • If needed, you can also layer additional conditions to control when the fee applies.
