If you’re shipping products from multiple origins you may encounter scenarios where you need to set up a rule that applies only to one (or a few) of your Origins and not to all. For example, you may be drop shipping from a certain supplier who charges you a $10 handling fee per order while if shipping from your warehouse there would be no handling fee.
ShipperHQ allows you to handle these types of scenarios using Origin-based Carrier Rules.
Using Origin-based Carrier Rules
In order to use Origin-based Carrier Rules, you will need to have the Dropship & Multi-Origin feature enabled under Account Settings > Features in ShipperHQ. This feature is available for Standard plan and higher accounts.
In the Carrier Rules section of the ShipperHQ Dashboard click the Settings button in the top right corner of the page. Set the Origins option to “Yes.”
Setting up an Origin-based Carrier Rule
With this enabled, you’ll now find your Origins as a Condition under the Advanced Conditions panel on your Carrier Rules. Selecting one or more Origins in this field will cause this Rule to apply only to shipments from those Origins.
